Colony Wellcare Center: Yu Quntao MD

Dr. Yu has been my daughter and son’s pediatrician for more than a decade. He is very professional, knowledgeable and caring. The office is very clean and staff there are very nice and friendly. We are grateful to have him as our children’s doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Yu.

We moved to this area recently from California and many of our friends recommended this doctor for our children before moving in. I saw the comment made by Wayne Kung which made me concerned and I decided to visit this office before bringing my children into this place.

During the conversation with the office manager, I brought my concern about the comment above. She told me that it was the case as stated.

As a responsible parent, I felt it is unfair if I know that story is not true and do not defend our new doctor.

The manager told me that this doctor office doesn’t know and doesn’t have connection with any milk bank. And it’s not doctor’s responsibility to look for it. In regards to the charge for the medical medical records, it’s standard for the doctor office to charge reasonable labor and material costs. I had to pay for my children’s records before we moved into Texas. For the collection of the unpaid balance, I don’t feel that you should blame them. We buy insurance and we should try to know our policy in terms of our coverages, although it’s very hard to understand all of them in detail, especially for lay people. I know that we don’t feel happy when we are asked for money and we know we paid money to Insurance already. But the co-pay and deductibles have to come out from our own pockets, no matter we’re happy or not. If we’re not sure, we can check with our insurance company. If they are truly over charging or ripping off, we can make formal complaint to Insurance.

After my visit, I didn’t hesitate to bring my children to this doctor and I am happy that I made a good decision so far.

I want to get a flu shot. But I did not have insurance. Dr. Yu accepted me and gave the flu shot the same day in low cost. I am feeling good now. Big thanks to Dr. Yu and his wife Linda.
