I have to thank Joe for his time!!! I met with Joe at his home in Colorado about 15 years ago!
Joe took the time to talk Bamboo rod making for a couple of hours! He welcomed me to his home, to share just about any of his experience or knowledge he has gained working with bamboo. He didn't keep any secrets (: We both did some dry casting on the street he lives on. I believe he is one of the best Makers of our time! That being said he helped set me on my path to creating bamboo fly rods. I hope my rods reflect a little bit of his heart and soul in every rod I create!
